We have recently competed the implementation of a best-in-class finance system (Microsoft Business Central), configured for the airline business. Accounts Payable functionality includes a high level of automation and full approval workflows.


The role

We are delighted to confirm that we are seeking applications for the position of Accounts Payable Specialist. Based at Dublin Airport and reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Lead, this is a full time, permanent role.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing and validation of supplier invoices and credit notes
  • Create, review and monitor weekly payment runs in line with agreed payment terms
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal controls and standard operating procedures within Accounts Payable
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Accounts Payable Team Lead and wider Finance team, including adhoc duties as required.

About you

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role is essential
  • Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility for deliverables and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deal effectively with suppliers and internal teams
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Aviation industry experience is beneficial but not essential
